Five Layers of Security.
Zero Trust Required.

Every other estate planning platform asks you to trust them with your most sensitive documents. DocSats is built so you don't have to.

Your Will's journey from first word to permanent record

Every step is designed so that no one — not our team, not hackers, not governments — can read your documents.

Layer 1: Private AI Processing Your words never leave our walls

When you tell DocSats who gets what, your instructions are processed on our own private AI server — a dedicated machine running in our facility. Unlike LegalZoom, Trust & Will, and every other online estate planning service, we don't send your data to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any third-party AI provider.

Why it matters: When you use competitors, your most private family and financial details pass through third-party AI servers where they could be logged, trained on, or breached. Our local processing means your plaintext Will exists in exactly one place — our secure server — for exactly as long as it takes to generate your document.
🔒

Layer 2: Browser-Side Encryption Locked before it leaves your device

Your completed Will is encrypted with AES-256-GCM — the same standard used by the U.S. military and intelligence agencies — directly inside your web browser. The encryption key is generated on your device and never transmitted to our servers. This means we physically cannot read your Will, even if compelled by a court order.

Why it matters: Other platforms store your documents in their databases where employees, hackers, or legal subpoenas can access them. With DocSats, even our own engineers cannot decrypt your Will. Only you and your designated beneficiaries ever will.
🌐

Layer 3: Decentralized Storage No single point of failure

Your encrypted Will is stored on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) — a decentralized network where files are distributed across multiple nodes worldwide. Unlike storing a document on one company's server, IPFS means there is no single server to hack, no single company that could go bankrupt and lose your files, and no single point of failure.

Why it matters: If a traditional platform shuts down, your documents could disappear. IPFS ensures your encrypted Will persists independently of any single company — including DocSats itself.

Layer 4: Bitcoin Blockchain Inscription Permanent, tamper-proof proof

A cryptographic hash of your encrypted Will is permanently inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain using Ordinals technology. This creates an immutable, publicly verifiable timestamp proving your Will existed at a specific moment in time — and that it has never been altered since.

Why it matters: Bitcoin has maintained 100% uptime for over 15 years and secures more than $1 trillion in value. Your proof-of-existence record will survive as long as the Bitcoin network exists — likely centuries. No company, government, or individual can alter or delete it.
🔑

Layer 5: Dead Man's Switch Automated beneficiary access

DocSats periodically checks in with you via email or SMS. If you stop responding after a configurable period, the system automatically releases decryption access to your designated beneficiaries. No probate courts, no lawyers, no waiting months for access to critical documents.

Why it matters: Traditional Wills require probate — a legal process that takes 6-18 months and costs thousands. DocSats bypasses this entirely by giving your beneficiaries direct, automated access when the time comes.
